CARDBOARDS

Cardboards are light, their colour is matte and their surface porous and irregular. They are not bright and they admit bright pastes or paint. Their lightness and softness allow me to express the most sensitive, the most vulnerable that I have, the most intimate of myself or somebody else. On tehm I want always to impress the most hidden, the ethereal: a smell, a taste, a depression, hidden feelings, the most mental about us. The most symbolic. The symbology that each colour has for me, I use it with the shape of lines or little stains. I like to paint on them with pigments, their finish is matte and velvety. I can create “injuries” over their surface… Even though in the end their appearence is fragile. The fragility of our own existence as a living being.
